There are lots of great reasons to join SkullSpace (or any Hackerspace for that matter)! The most important ones are:
- Be part of a community of like-minded folks
- 24/7 access to the physical space, which includes really, really fast Internet (~60Mbit down, ~25Mbit up), a projector for presentations (or movies), and more!
- Access to tools, equipment, library, games, etc
- Access to people who are serious about what they do and are willing to share knowledge
- An equal say in how SkullSpace is run as an organization and what tools/gear we put our money towards
- @SkullSpace.ca email address
- Space for your events, parties, games, etc
We may have more in the future, some ideas are...
- Subscriptions to periodicals/journals/etc
- Paid projects that members can take part in
- Free attendance to events, conferences, etc that we hold
Member services
- Access to a library of cool electronics, computers, and books held off site
Servers and workstations
- Virtual machine service and mumd, the multi-user multi-desktop service hosted on it
- Graphics_workstation, Quad Intel core 2, 12GB DDR2, NVIDIA PCIe card
