Note: The parts database has yet to be implemented and requires volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved with the project you are free to implement whatever organization method you feel works best and are not required to use PartKeepr.

The SkullSpace parts database can be found at http://parts.skullspace.ca, username/password is skullspace. The database software used is PartKeepr. Parts are organized using the same categories used by Digikey. These categories have been entered into the database already, so there should be no need to add additional categories.

Storage locations for parts are identified by three values: storage rack, column, and row. We are currently cataloguing the parts bins and will label them as we do so.

Parts are stored in a chaotic arrangement. Parts are not necessarily near similar parts. In fact, spreading parts out is encouraged, especially where multiple parts are stored in a subdivided container. This will promote the use (and subsequent updating) of the database. Storing a variety of parts in a subdivided container aids in part location/identification.
