Using the space

This page is for members and guests who need quick access to the space's resources

Classroom

• whiteboards across the west side wall
• has a projector with VGA & HDMI inputs, movable screen
• sound system with low-quality speakers, 3.5mm input
• one light cannot be turned off without prior arrangement (electrical room access required)
• panels to close the windows to keep sunlight out
• seating space for ~25 people on chairs, or "buffet" tables can be set up (reducing seating capacity)
• 3 public PCs, running XP/Ubuntu

Lounge

• has a projector with VGA & HDMI inputs, fixed screen
• sound system with good speakers, 3.5mm & phono inputs
• 2 public PCs running XP/Ubuntu
• seating space for ~20 people on couches/chairs

Network

• wireless is available throughout the space, password is posted
• gigabit ethernet ports are installed throughout the space

Food

• the kitchen area has a sink, small toaster/convection oven, microwave, freezer, fridge
• canned soft drinks and basic snacks (mini pizzas, jamaican patties, etc.) are for sale
• you are welcome to bring your own food &/or drink to prepare & serve, as long as you clean up after yourself
• reusable dishes, bowls, cups, cutlery, and serving utensils are available
• disposable plates, cups, and cutlery are also available

Bathrooms

• men's bathroom has 2 sinks, toilet and shower
• women's bathroom has 2 sinks, 2 toilets and table

Building/Area

• 2 freight elevators - old models, need someone to unlock the 3rd floor door in advance
• street parking outside, bicycles can be attached to a grate against the building
• multiple restaurants nearby - Subway, Pita Pit, multiple good asian restaurants - many menus are posted on the corkboard
• roof access possible if arranged in advance
