What is SkullSpace?
SkullSpace is a whisper of a hackerspace in Winnipeg. SkullSpace is a place for hackers, builders, programmers, artists and anybody interested in how stuff works to gather in a common place and help focus their knowledge and creativity. Whether members are interested in individual or group projects, and whether they're tackling hardware, software, mathematical, design or any other problems, it's our goal to provide the space, tools, freedom, and education to make it happen.
Also see our Press coverage.
Check out this short video about another hackerspace if you're still wondering what exactly we're trying to do here: short video.
Blog
We run a blog at http://www.SkullSpace.ca/blog/. Check it out for the latest news!
How do I join?
Easy! First you should show some interest by joining our Mailing List, liking our Facebook page and following us on Twitter. You should also come chat with us on our irc channel and show up to our meetings. We are open to anyone and everyone as indicated on our Policy page. You should also create an account on our wiki and poke around and add ideas where appropriate.
Since we do not yet have a space, we don't keep an official membership list or charge membership dues. Once we obtain a space we plan to charge membership dues in order to sustain the costs of renting the space. View our Financial Information.
Get involved and help shape the first ever Winnipeg hackerspace!
