That being said, the cost of the postage, cupcake ingredients, etc are all being paid out of our pockets right now and even if everyone just throws in a toonie or something it will help. Saturday, January 15th, 2011, high noon
SkullSpace is hosting a hackathon on January 15th, 2011 at high noon. We will be participating in the Global Hackerspace Cupcake Challenge. This is an event in which hackerspaces all over the world are baking cupcakes and trying to find the best way to package and ship them at least 1600km away, to another hackerspace. We have arranged to send ours out to BuildBrighton, a space located in Brighton, England (6500km away!).
Other things afoot
In addition to the cupcake challenge, we will be brainstorming and subsequently implementing ideas for a website/service dubbed breachdb. What is it exactly? You'll have to show up to the event to find out!
