You will need:
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 Cup White Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Margarine
- 1 can (16 ounces / 450ml) sliced beets
- Combine margarine, sugar, cornstarch, salt, vinegar and 1/2 cup of the liquid from the canned beets
- Cook on medium-heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly - be careful not to scorch.
- Stir in sliced beets. Cook until well coated and heated through.
