Plans

To-Do

  1. now: Look at Nate's community centre
  2. 1-2 hours, Oct 9: Finalize list of all dishes
  3. 2-3 hours, Oct 10: Itemize ingredients to form giant shopping list
  4. 1-2 hours for rough estimate, Oct 11: Price out the ingredients so we know how much to charge
    • On second thought, it'll probably just be $20/seat.
  5. 2-3 hours, Oct 11: Talk to everyone to sell seats
  6. 3-4 hours, Oct 12: Buy a few ingredients and test-run some of the harder dishes
  7. 6-8 hours, Oct 11-13: Clean the space and hang signage
  8. 4-6 hours, Oct 14-15: Plan for entertainment
    • Music
    • Projector with meme images
    • Get someone to spend some time around the dinner with a video camera
  9. 3 hours, Oct 16-17: Buy all ingredients
  10. 6-8 hours, Fri Oct 19: Prepare the semi-perishable sauces and confections. Marinate things
  11. 2-3 hours, Fri Oct 19: Clean the space again. Install accent lighting
  12. 4-6 hours, Sat Oct 20, 11:00am-6:00pm: make most of the dishes
    1. Cook vegetables and other parts early on, store until needed
    2. Cook the things we know will need reheating
    3. Combine the cooked ingredients into their final forms directly before loading vehicles and serving
    • (Travel time? When do we start serving? Survey of acceptable dinner times.)
