Right now since we don't have a physical space yet, formal membership is $10/month. This allows you to vote on any decisions we make and provides us with some much needed startup capital. The best way to pay for membership is by cash or cheque either during a meeting or hackathon. We encourage members to pre-pay their monthly dues, as this is much simpler for both parties.

If you like what you see then you can apply to become a member. Our membership dues are $40/month and once renovations are complete this will get you 24/7 access to the space along with everything else listed on the [[Member Benefits]] page. To apply to become a member either talk to any of us at one of our meetings or email us at info@skullspace.ca.

If you can't make it to a meeting or hackathon but still would like to become a member, you may pay via paypal ('''''use the 'donate' button at the left!'''''). We request that when paying via paypal you add an additional 1.5% as this is approximately how much paypal takes in transaction fees. If you do pay membership dues by paypal, don't forget to send us an email, admin AT lists DOT skullspace DOT ca and tell us about it, otherwise it will be counted as a donation.

What is SkullSpace?

SkullSpace is a recently founded hackerspace in Winnipeg. SkullSpace is a place for hackers, builders, programmers, artists and anybody interested in how stuff works to gather in a common place and help focus their knowledge and creativity. Whether members are interested in individual or group projects, and whether they're tackling hardware, software, mathematical, design or any other problems, it's our goal to provide the space, tools, freedom, and education to make it happen.

Our physical presence is around 4000 sq ft of space on the 3rd floor of 125 Adelaide Street, right across from Red River College in the exchange. We are in the process of renovating the space, having gained possession on June 1st, 2011. Our current working floor plan is available as either a dwg:125_Adelaide_v5.dwg or a pdf:125_Adelaide_v5.pdf.

Also see our Press coverage.
